I've only been in Fort Collins a few short months, but Judy Bejarano, Director of Impact Dance and faculty member of CSU, is clearly someone that I hope to get to know a bit better in the future. In addition to being a very generous spirit, Judy's work embodies those aspects that I love best about dance: community, experimentation, investigation and accessibility. In addition to the premiere, Like Humans Do, there are two very interesting workshops open to the public. I hope that you will do something different and good for yourself (have the beer after the show!) and come out and support Impact Dance.
Like Humans Do
IMPACT Dance Company will premiere Like Humans Do February 20-23 and February 27-March 1st, 2014. This innovative IMPACT Event will wind the audience through the newly renovated Community Creative Center in the Historic Carnegie Building. The larger areas in the gallery will provide ample room for IMPACT’s compelling and dynamic dances, while Bejarano and the collaborative design team will define small areas of space with the intimate “pocket performances” that the company is known for. The gleaming white walls throughout the space will be splashed with visual art and projection.
