In a Whispering Copse

I just posted my latest choreography from CMU.  It's called In a Whispering Copse and it's about my childhood memories.  In fact, the last lullaby is a poem from Robert Luis Stevenson that my mom used to sing to me.  As with any dance, unless it is a dance for camera, you lose so much quality in its video reproduction.  The first section is very dark - but in actuality, though a bit dark on stage, it was suggestive of the blurriness of memory - the way memory comes back to us in patches with faded edges.  I was very proud of this piece because that gossamer quality that I wanted stayed throughout the 15 minutes.  It's slow and reminiscent-like in pace.  I hope hope you enjoy!  In a Whispering Copse
